The deadline for this project is June 2010. We hope that the good work can be well completed, so that its results will inspire both local inhabitants and visitors at the campsite to take part in further development.
Among the challenges that Bongodox has so far contributed to are economic poverty, youth unemployment and too many AIDS-related deaths. Bongodox has been trying to consolidate alternative trends through an equality and participation-based initiative between our Danish and Tanzanian organisations.
At the same time, Bongo Camping´s art group Kisamakibo has been contributing their creative spirit to Bongodox. Kisamakibo as well as the Bongodox team hope to be able to exchange their experiences with many visitors at Bongo Camping this year.
