Bongo Camping and Swahili

In Tukuyu, Swahili is becoming a mother tongue for the new generations, just like it is happening in the rest of Tanzania and in other countries of East Africa. Swahili is also one of the most important ways to make our co-operation in Africa equal and participation-based.

One of the minor acitivities at Bongo Camping is to teach foreigners Swahili. Lessons are held in the Bongo Camping classroom. Bongo Camping´s art group has contributed their own teaching materials - their song lyrics which are especially fitted to escort new Swahili speakers in the learning process.

Many of the Bongo Camping Swahili tracks, in different styles, with lyrics and translations are now found at Youtube, like the one in this link: Swahili Song With Spelled Words Lyrics
